Ishiah and Jai’s Wedding, Petaluma, California

I met Jai a few years ago through an ex-girlfriend when we both shot part of a video project together. We kept in touch on and off as I would update him on my travels. Jai had done a lot of traveling throughout India so we have that bond among travelers.

About two months before his wedding he asked if I was going to be in San Francisco in September and if I would be available to shoot his wedding. I checked on tickets and planned a few other shoots in San Francisco, one for The North Face(blog about that coming soon) and the other an engagement shoot that I will shoot in Sacramento next year.

The setting for the wedding was his friend’s small farm in Petaluma, California. We scouted out the location a few days before the wedding where I met his bride to be, Ishiah(possibly the coolest combo of names for a couple I’ve ever met). I hired a friend and extremely talented photographer to shoot with me, Stephen Lam.

We walked through the schedule with Jai and Ishiah and found our locations for portraits while drawing up our game plan for the big day.

The rain threatened to damper the day but it never came and the sun peaked just in time for our portrait session. While I didn’t know Jai and Ishiah very well they are both very spiritual people have touched many souls as was evident with all the touching speeches delivered by their friends and family.

It was great a great success for Mott Visuals as we expand into more and more markets doing destination weddings around the world.  Here are the results from our day with Ishiah and Jai:
