Client: German Architectural Firm
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Days Shooting: 2 Days on location with a pending contract for a long-term project documenting the growth of the project over the next 2 years.
I was recently commissioned to shoot a huge construction project by a German architectural firm. It’s a short and pending long term project documenting the growth of this project along with mixing in some documentary style shots of the site itself. Many people think the documentary photography world is dying but I’m seeing more and more of an appreciation of this style of photography emerging in the commercial market and that makes me happy.
My new intern also created some nice images on the site which I will feature down the road after I formally introduce him. Poor guy arrived here only a week ago and I had him walking over a tiny rebar/plywood rickety bridge welded with a 60kg Vietnamese working in mind 20 stories up on a construction site. We both survived but in retrospect that wasn’t the safest move I’ve made.
Here are a few samples from Day 1.
